Exhibition - Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations

I finally made it to the Met to see the "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations" exhibition - very beautiful work indeed.  It was interesting to see such aesthetic and thematic similartities in their work but with very different goals and intentions behind each piece.  

Though my favorite Schiaparelli piece was not on display since it is housed in the V&A in London - the skeleton dress which Dali helped her design for her Circus collection....

Occulter Sample Sale Weekend

Designer Love: Chromat

I discovered Chromat's beautiful geometric cage pieces a year or so ago on a shoot I did as part of the Kat+Duck collaboration for BG Magazine.  Now that it is summer, Chromat has designed some really fun swim suits and of course the cage corsets for the S/S 2012 collection.

Love the Sisters of the Black Moon.  I discovered them recently when I saw their latest editorial.  They carry some of my favorite designers like Blood Milk and Ovate.

though I was super sad to find out the lemurian breastpiece I wanted was sold out...
